IKO LIVE
at a glance
Working on a story about fans meeting their idols, the TV of our childhood or the new creator economy? Here are the essentials, and we're happy to talk.
What IKO LIVE does
IKO LIVE, a service of IKO GROUP, runs live, paid, intimate meet-ups between audiences and the personalities who shaped their lives: '90s singers, heroines of cult TV series, prime-time hosts, as well as today's streamers and cosplayers. The idea: a 75-minute event capped at 50 seats and led by a host, where Front Row viewers go on screen and ask their questions out loud, and those in the Stands write theirs to the host, all with live subtitles in their own language. Then a few 8-minute private one-on-one video calls, for the fans who chose them.
Why now
Conventions and signing sessions are still expensive, crowded and rushed: a few seconds for a selfie. IKO LIVE takes the opposite approach with an intimate, carefully prepared TV-show format: each viewer writes, in their space, a short introduction that the host reads on air and the guest reads before the 1-on-1. For personalities, it's a regular income from home, with just a phone and no tech to manage.
