IKO LIVE

Legal

Your data,
no surprises

What we collect on ikolive.com and in the IKO LIVE app, why, for how long, who with, and how to stay in control. In plain words, no jargon.

Last updated: 22 October 2026

1. Who is responsible

The controller is IKO GROUP LLC, a Florida limited liability company, 7901 4th Street North, Suite 300, St. Petersburg, FL 33702, USA, which operates the IKO LIVE service ("IKO GROUP", "we"). Any question: contact@ikolive.com.

This policy applies to the ikolive.com website and to the IKO LIVE apps for Android and iPhone/iPad, which open the same service: everything here applies to all of them.

2. The essentials

  • We never sell your data and never use it for targeted advertising. No advertising cookies, no third-party analytics.
  • Your camera and microphone are only used during live shows and one-on-ones, and only when you choose. Live shows are not video-recorded; a one-on-one is recorded only if you choose so when booking.
  • Your card details are handled by Stripe; we never see them.
  • You can delete your account at any time, from your space or by email.

3. Your account

You need an account to book. There is no password: you sign in with Google, or with a 6-digit code sent by email.

  • With Google: with your consent, Google shares your name, email address and profile photo with us. We access nothing else in your Google account and never post anything on your behalf.
  • With an email code: only your email address.
  • Your acceptances: the date on which you confirmed you are 18 or older and accepted the terms of sale and this policy, and the version accepted.

IKO LIVE's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Your profile and fan card

Everything is optional and can be changed at any time in "My space":

  • first name, last name, country, city (free text that you type yourself, never read from your phone's location) and subtitle language;
  • an Instagram or TikTok handle, and what you agree to show on screen when you speak (first name, full name or no name; handle shown or not);
  • the profile photo and banner you choose to upload, kept in our storage;
  • the personalities you follow and your email preferences;
  • the short introduction you write after buying (280 characters max), read by the host and the Personality to welcome you;
  • in the Front Row: the name, handle and question you prepare for your moment to speak, reviewed by the team before the Event.

5. Tickets, orders and payments

When you order, we record: first name, last name, email, phone (optional), country, language, the tickets chosen, the amounts, the ticket codes, your confirmation that you are 18 or older, your confirmation that you understand you are visible if you turn on your camera, your choice (yes or no) on the promotional use of your image, and then the history of any refunds.

Payment takes place on Stripe's secure page. Stripe receives your email address, the order details and your payment details; we only receive the payment confirmation and its references. We never see or store your card number. Stripe processes this data under its own privacy policy, in particular to prevent fraud.

6. During live shows and one-on-ones

Live video and sound go through the servers of LiveKit, our live video provider, only to be delivered to participants. They are not recorded, except a one-on-one that you choose to record. Recording a one-on-one (option): when the personality agrees, a box at booking lets you have your one-on-one recorded. The call is then filmed by LiveKit (both cameras and both voices, side by side) and saved to private storage with a file-hosting provider; a red REC mark shows in the room for both people. Only you can watch it, in My memories; it is kept for 90 days and then erased, and you can delete it at any time (it is also erased if you delete your account). Without this box, nothing is recorded.

  • Camera: you turn it on or off yourself, at any time. When it is on, the Event's participants can see you live.
  • Microphone: during the live show, it only opens when the host gives you the floor. In a one-on-one, your camera and microphone are on with the Personality; the host can follow it from the control room to step in if there is a problem.
  • Raised hands, reactions and written questions: there is no public chat. A written question is sent only to the host and only travels through the live connection: it is not stored in our database. If the host picks it, it is shown on screen with your first name and city; it is then translated automatically into the site's 7 languages by Claude, Anthropic's model. In a concert (several hundred spectators), the fans' written questions, with their first name, are shown to the whole audience so that everyone can vote on them: do not write anything you do not want the audience to read.
  • Note to the Personality: after a live show or a one-on-one, you can leave a short note (280 characters max) for the Personality. It is private: only the Personality, the Event's host and the IKO LIVE team can read it. It is saved with your first name and city (taken from your order or fan card), your anonymous identifier in the room for that Event and the language you wrote it in, and it is translated automatically into the Personality's language by Claude, Anthropic's model. You can edit it for 24 hours. The Personality can hide it or report it to the team, with its text. It is deleted 180 days after it was sent.
  • In the room: you appear under an anonymous identifier; your ticket code never circulates. Only the name and handle you chose to display are visible.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, connection quality, used by us and by LiveKit only to run the live show. For a booked one-on-one, we also record whether you and the Personality entered the room and at what time, to settle a no-show or a refund.

Replays of live shows are not offered today. If they are ever offered for an Event, its page will say so before purchase, and this policy will be updated before they launch. One-on-one videos exist only as the optional recording described above.

7. Live subtitles and translation

When a microphone is on (the Personality, the host, the fan who has the floor, and both participants in a one-on-one), the sound is transcribed in real time by a speech-recognition service (Deepgram), then each sentence is translated by a language model (OpenAI), both used through LiveKit. A muted microphone is never listened to.

The sound is not kept. The text of each sentence, with the display name of the speaker and the time, is kept in our database to check subtitle quality and handle any report. Only the IKO LIVE team can access it, and it is deleted 30 days after the live show.

8. Your memories

After your moment on screen or your one-on-one, IKO LIVE creates a memory (a polaroid) from images of your camera and the Personality's. It is made and kept only on your device (the last 10), in "Memories": it is not sent to us. You alone decide whether to share it.

9. Reports, moderation and removals

  • If you report someone: we record the Event concerned, the person reported (their identifier in the room and display name), the reason, any details you add, the date, your account or ticket, and an encrypted fingerprint of your IP address (against abuse).
  • If you block someone: that choice is kept on your device and is only used so you no longer see or hear them.
  • Moderation decisions: a camera turned off or a removal from an Event is recorded for that Event. If an account is banned, we keep its identifier, email address and the reason, to stop it from coming back.
  • Filters: some texts sent on the site (such as personality suggestions) are checked automatically against a list of banned words and against spam.

10. Emails

Our emails are sent with Resend: sign-in codes, order confirmation and tickets, reminders for your Events (the day before and one hour before), and replies to your messages. Announcements of new Events with your personalities and IKO LIVE news are only sent if you turned them on; you can turn them off at any time in "My space" → "Settings".

11. Contact and personality suggestions

  • Contact and "Become a talent" forms: name, email, message, language, and where relevant your role and social network.
  • Suggesting or supporting a personality: an anonymous identifier created on your device and, if you write it, the reason for your choice.
  • "Notify me" (when ticket sales open, or if a personality you suggested agrees to an IKO LIVE evening): your email address, your language and the Event concerned, if any. Used to let you know about it, and kept until you ask us to delete it by writing to contact@ikolive.com.
  • Waiting list on a personality's page: your email address, your language and the number of seats you want, to tell you when seats open. The price shown is only indicative. Kept until 12 months after the list closes, or until you ask us to delete it by writing to contact@ikolive.com.
  • Concert rating: a 1 to 5 star rating, private, linked to your ticket (never shown by name) and used for averages seen only by the IKO LIVE team. Deleted after 24 months.
  • To limit spam and abuse, we keep an encrypted (unreadable) fingerprint of your IP address, never the address itself.

12. Cookies and storage on your device

We only use what the service needs to work: a cookie that remembers your language, your sign-in session, and, in your browser's or the app's local storage, a copy of your tickets and fan card, your preferences (subtitle language and size, data saver, etc.), the anonymous suggestion identifier and your memories. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no audience measurement.

You can erase all of it at any time from your browser settings or the app settings on your phone.

13. App permissions

  • Camera: for the waiting-room test, to appear on screen when you decide to, and for your one-on-one.
  • Microphone: for the waiting-room test, to speak when the host gives you the floor, and for your one-on-one.
  • Notifications: only if you turn them on (“Turn on notifications” in your space or in the app), to tell you when doors open, when your live starts and before your one-on-ones; never for advertising. For this we keep your device's technical push address, your language and the date you turned them on. It is deleted when you turn notifications off, log out or delete your account. Notifications are delivered through the push service of your phone or browser (Google, Apple, Mozilla or Microsoft, depending on your device).

Each permission is requested when you need it, never in the background. You can refuse or withdraw it in your phone settings: you can always watch a live show without a camera or microphone.

14. Why we use your data

  • To provide the service you asked for: account, orders, tickets, room access, live shows, one-on-ones, subtitles, service emails.
  • Your consent: camera and microphone, showing your name and handle on screen, promotional use of your image (only if you said yes), announcements and news by email, notifications. You can withdraw it at any time.
  • Our legitimate interest: security, fraud and abuse prevention, moderation of live shows, improving subtitles.
  • Our legal obligations: accounting, tax, and responding to authorities when the law requires it.

15. Who has access

The IKO LIVE team; the Event's host and the Personality, for your introduction, your moment to speak and your one-on-one; other participants, only for what you show live. Our providers only access data for the task entrusted to them:

  • Vercel: website hosting;
  • Supabase: database, accounts, profile photo storage and server functions (United States);
  • LiveKit: live video and sound, and the subtitle robot, with Deepgram (speech recognition) and OpenAI (subtitle translation);
  • Anthropic (Claude): translation of written questions shown on screen, of fans' notes to Personalities and of the private chat between a Personality and the host;
  • Google, Apple, Mozilla and Microsoft push services: delivery of notifications, only if you turn them on;
  • Stripe: payments and refunds;
  • Resend: sending emails;
  • Google: sign-in with Google, if you choose it.

We never sell your data and never share it for advertising. We only disclose it to an authority when the law requires it.

16. Where your data is

IKO GROUP is based in the United States, where your data is processed and hosted, as well as by our providers. If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, these transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.

17. How long

  • Account, profile, photo and banner: as long as you keep your account. They are erased when you delete it.
  • Orders and payments: as long as our accounting and tax obligations require (generally up to 7 years), even after the account is deleted.
  • Introduction and Front Row preparation: deleted 30 days after the Event.
  • Subtitle text: deleted 30 days after the live show.
  • Notes to a Personality: deleted 180 days after they were sent.
  • Private chat between a Personality and the host: deleted 30 days after each message.
  • Notify me sign-ups (email address and language): until you ask us to delete them.
  • Waiting-list sign-ups (email address, language, seats): 12 months after the list closes, or until you ask us to delete them.
  • Concert ratings: 24 months.
  • Reports and moderation decisions: as long as needed to handle them, then 2 years at most; a ban, for as long as it lasts.
  • Contact messages: up to 2 years after our last exchange.
  • Anti-abuse IP fingerprints: 90 days at most.
  • Memories and local storage: on your device, until you erase them.
  • Promotional clips: until you withdraw your authorization, for any new publication.

18. Delete your account

Delete your account: how it works →

In "My space" → "Settings" → "My account" → "Delete my account", or by writing to contact@ikolive.com from your account's email address. What is deleted, what is kept and why: everything is explained on the "Delete your account" page (ikolive.com/en/supprimer-mon-compte).

19. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example the GDPR in the European Union and the United Kingdom, the LGPD in Brazil, or the laws of California and other US states), you can ask to access your data, correct it, delete it or receive a portable copy, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw your consent at any time. We will never treat you differently for exercising your rights.

You can correct most of your information yourself in "My space". For anything else, write to contact@ikolive.com from your account's email address: we answer within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity. You can also contact the data protection authority in your country.

20. Minors

IKO LIVE is reserved for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data about minors; if we discover any, we close the account and delete that data. You can report a minor's account to contact@ikolive.com.

21. Security

All connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Access to the database is limited by strict rules: each fan can only read their own data, and only the team can access the admin tools. IP addresses in security logs are replaced by an encrypted fingerprint, and payments go through Stripe. No system is infallible: if an incident affects your data, we will notify you as the law requires.

22. Personalities and hosts

Personalities (the guests of an Event) and hosts do not have an account: they enter with an access code given by the IKO LIVE team. For them, we process:

  • Access code: stored only in an unreadable (hashed) form, with the Event it opens, the display name of the Personality or host and, for hosts, the date of their last sign-in.
  • Notifications (Personalities): if a Personality turns them on, their device's technical push address and language are tied to their access code, only to send reminders (the day before, two hours before, when the dressing room opens, when the live starts) and to say the host has replied, without the content of the message. They are deleted when the Personality turns notifications off, when the code is changed or withdrawn, or one day after the Event.
  • Private chat with the host: during their Event, a Personality can write to the host in the app (500 characters max). These messages are private: only the Personality, the Event's hosts and the IKO LIVE team can read them. They are translated automatically into the reader's language by Claude, Anthropic's model, and deleted 30 days after being sent.
  • Dressing-room follow-up: so that the team can check that the Personality is ready, we record when the dressing room was opened with the code, the result of the technical test (camera, microphone, sound and network, each only as yes or no) and when the Personality was last seen there. Only the IKO LIVE team can see it, and it is deleted when the access code is withdrawn.

The live subtitles and translation described in section 7 also apply to Personalities and hosts while their microphone is on.

23. Changes and contact

We may update this policy; the date of the last update is shown at the top of the page. If there is a significant change, we will let you know on the site or by email before it applies. Any question or request: contact@ikolive.com, or IKO GROUP LLC, 7901 4th Street North, Suite 300, St. Petersburg, FL 33702, USA.
